Perfect Guide to Spending Time in Ko-Rai-Gen, part1

It’s been a year since we started our guesthouse. We’ve had guests from overseas who have come from about 20 different countries. We had a fun time with them and learned some useful tips and recommendations for a perfect stay in Ko-Rai-Gen. And I think some of them are common when traveling in Japan.

  1. staying more than two nights

Having just an overnight is not enough to see around. This is what one guest told me and it left a deep impression on me; If you don’t see at least morning, noon, and night at the place you’re staying, you haven’t experienced that place.

2. Recharging yourself in a peaceful atmosphere

Tourism is a constant flow of new discoveries. It can be fun, but you should make time for yourself at least once in your trip. Guests at our lodging make it a favorite activity to go for a walk to watch the sunset, or spend some time relaxing in a chair on the balcony.

Some guests also choose to spend time relaxing at our inn in between crowded urban areas such as Kyoto, Kanazawa, and Osaka. This is especially true for families traveling with young children.

In short, it is important to have a balance of on and off time when traveling.

You will find similarities between the way time passes in the countryside and the city, and the people in your own country and in Japan.

In the next article, I’ll show you a recommended plan to stay.
