Kinomoto Jizo inn Temple
Jizo-in Temple is a must-see spot in Kinomoto town.
4 minutes walk from Kinomoto station, you’ll see a huge statue of Jizo and numerous frogs in the temple. I’d like to introduce my favorite places in Jizo-inn.
1. Special Exhibition
You can go through the backside of the main hall and see an exhibition of hidden treasures which the temple has been conserved for generations. Every time I visit there with guests, I get so overwhelmed at that space, feeling something like a pressure of the history.
2. Dark tunnel
Walking a completely dark tunnel of 56.7 meters long! You have a tough mission to touch a sacred lock connected with a statue of Jizo. I’ve tried 3 times ever but never succeeded .
3. Meeting a great many frogs
Definitely, it’s an Instagramerble spot. And add your frog to get the blessing of eyes.
